Upcoming Events: · Sustainable Stockton Summer Meetings. Please join us for our next meeting this Thursday, June 4, 2009, at 7 pm in the Town of Stockton Municipal Building. May Meeting Minutes and the June 4th agenda are attached. In addition, our final summer meeting will be on Thursday, August 13, 2009, also at 7:00 pm in the Town of Stockton Municipal Building. All are welcome to attend. · Don’t miss the Midwest Renewable Energy and Sustainable Living Fair (http://www.the-mrea.org/energy_fair.php) on June 19 – 21, 2009, at 7558 Deer Rd., Custer, WI. Over 20,000 people from all over the country travel to the Town of Stockton to attend this event each year. The Energy Fair attracts over 200 exhibitors and offers more than 200 workshops on topics ranging from living sustainably to financing/economics to alternative energy systems and includes specific programs for young adults, children, professionals, and educators. The Midwest Renewable Energy and Sustainable Living Fair not only stimulates the local economy but gives those of us in the community a chance to experience first-hand the nation’s premier energy education event. MREA depends heavily on its volunteers to keep this event successful. Please consider volunteering at the Energy Fair. If you volunteer for two hours, you can get into the Fair free for the day. You can download a volunteer form or fill one out on-line at http://www.the-mrea.org/fair_volunteer.php. MREA needs the most help in working the gate (Sales), helping out at the MREA Café (Food Service), and in picking up the grounds (Grounds Crew). Teens are welcome to volunteer as well. Come and check out what’s happening in our own backyard!

Association· Sustainable Stockton invites you to tour Stockton’s only Community-Supported Agriculture Farm - Whitefeather Organics, LLC, on Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at 7 pm. Join us to find out what a CSA is all about and how Tony, Laura, and their crew grow organic vegetables in Central Wisconsin. The tour will last about an hour with refreshments to follow.
