WPS bills will be used to monitor. Updates to follow. Second project – CFL give-a-way will be discussed with the KEEP staff later in the meeting.

Find it in Stockton Directory  - Mary is working with local food producers and also contacted People’s Meats. They work with many local producers and are willing to place a clipboard at their place of business to sign folks up for the Stockton Directory. Sue reported that 12 forms have been sent in from various types of services.

Mary reported that Tim Krause from the Department of Computer design on the UWSP campus will have students available to work with us on a web design. We will have a conversation with him in January.

We welcomed Carrie Bea Ziolkowski and Sara Windjue KEEP Program – they spoke to us about the Bright Idea fund raiser. Possibility of working with Bannach School and churches was discussed. Other possible ideas: Town of Stockton Fire Department Open House – Jeanne Dodge will bring this up at the Town meeting Dec. 10th.  Also election days in April and November would be excellent times to do the fund raiser for our group and accomplish our goal of getting the bulbs into the homes of Stockton residents. Keep is willing to work with us on any of these projects.

They also gave us information on the WEEB Energy Grant which Tara will work on for us. We can apply through the Town of Stockton. We will be able to get a supply of posters and education materials from KEEP to use at our events. We can also check into posters, etc. that may be available from WPS or Allient Energy.

Franks hardware and most businesses that sell the LED lights also recycle them. We would like to keep the recycling aspect a part of the distribution and usage process.

Next mtg. : Have our group work on a resolution to keep Old Hwy 18 & Smokey Rd open. Other ideas: Food Not Lawns book – Town of Stockton park community garden. Work on goals and mission statement for our group - to keep us on track.
