December 2010 Newsletter

Greetings all!

Our next Meeting/Gathering.  We will meet next on January 6th, 6:00 p.m., Clancy’s Stone Lion.  Please join us.

We’d enjoy seeing you at Clancy’s for our January dinner meeting.  It’s always nice to chat with neighbors.

Each year Sustainable Stockton has scheduled one or two summer/fall tour programs.  Do you have tour suggestions for summer/fall 2011?  If yes, please contact Sue Anderson or Donna Literski.  Previously we have toured the Whitefeather Organics Community Supported Agriculture Farm, the Schabel Forest, and Ross Farm Poultry Operation.

Our winter sustainable themed Lecture/Film Series will kick off on January 13th, 7:00 p.m., at the MREA.  Lowell Klessig, of New Hope, will present “Sustainability and Setting Priorities – Incompatible Approaches to Life (Eleven Necessary Conditions for Sustainability.

There has been a date change for our February documentary film, “Dirt.”  This film is the story of humans trying to reconnect to dirt, the living skin of the earth.  It will be shown the first Thursday in February, February 3rd, at the MREA, 7:00 p.m.

March’s program is still to be determined.

Best wishes for a wonderful holiday season!
